PDF files
How it works
PDF → Images: renders each page via PDF.js to a canvas, exports as PNG or JPG. ZIP all pages with one click.
Images → PDF: embeds each image at its native resolution into a single PDF using pdf-lib.
Extract Text: reads the embedded text layer. Scanned PDFs without text need OCR (not yet supported).
Merge PDFs: copies pages from each input PDF into one document — use the arrows to reorder.
Split PDF: extract any combination of pages or ranges into a new PDF. Page numbers are 1-based.
Everything runs locally in your browser — files are never uploaded.
What this converter can do
PDF → image
Export each page as a JPG or PNG at the resolution you choose. Useful for embedding in slides, social media, or emails.
Image → PDF
Combine photos, screenshots, or scanned pages into a single PDF — perfect for submitting forms or bundling receipts.
Extract text
Pull plain text out of a PDF for searching, quoting, or translating, as long as the PDF has embedded (non-scanned) text.
Merge PDFs
Combine multiple PDFs in any order into a single file — useful for consolidating reports, contracts, or invoices.

Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. All PDF operations run locally in your browser using PDF.js and PDF-lib. Your documents — contracts, invoices, IDs — never leave your device.
What is the maximum PDF size?
There is no strict limit, but browsers struggle with PDFs above 100 MB or with thousands of pages. For best performance, keep files under 50 MB.
Can I extract text from a scanned PDF?
Only if the PDF contains embedded text (most PDFs created from Word, web pages, or exports do). Scanned PDFs are images of text and require OCR — that is not included in this tool yet.
Will the merged PDF preserve bookmarks and links?
Internal hyperlinks and form fields are preserved. Some advanced features like signed signatures, attached files, and complex JavaScript may be flattened or removed.
Why is PDF to JPG sometimes blurry?
Default conversion uses 150 DPI. If the source PDF has small text or fine illustrations, choose a higher DPI (300 or 600) before converting. Larger DPI means larger image files.
